PA Public Address System
The iVENCS Public Address module provides a comprehensive set of PA functions, enabling single site, multiple site, and railway station, Long Line LLPA Public Address systems, and on train PA to be monitored and controlled.
System operators can select any PA zones on the 3D GUI to make live microphone broadcasts, stored message broadcasts, or Text-to-Speech broadcasts, and can also control the broadcast of background music or listen to the announcements that are being made in a PA zone.
The system can provide automated time scheduled broadcasts, and can be linked into railway train control and signalling systems or into airport flight operational database systems to provide automated passenger service announcements. Flexible volume and broadcast controls are included, in order to provide optimum listening comfort at different times of day, or to meet noise control requirements.

The system can store and play back recorded announcements in multiple languages, with each recorded message able to be saved in any number of languages. The operators can store any particular language or languages for each message.
Background Music Control
Different background music sources can be selected to be broadcast to each PA zone, and the volume of each music source can be controlled. in addition to being able to use analogue audio inputs or Dante sources, there is an option within the iVENCS software for a built-in MP3 playlist facility that can run four music playlists.
The Main GUI displays the priority of any announcement that is being made in each PA zone by shading the ‘button’ or area of that PA zone on the 3D GUI. The priority of each announcement is shown by the colour of the shading.
The source of each announcement is shown on the GUI ‘button’ area using a code. If an automated customer information message is being broadcast, then details of the message are also shown.
The PA broadcast scheduler allows any recorded PA or Text-to-Speech message to be automatically played at regular intervals – on particular days of the week, between configured times, and even between specific start and end dates.
This scheduler is ideally suited to making automated security and safety announcements and other similar routine broadcasts, such as passenger transfer information, and local ‘tourist’ information.
Broadcast Logging and Recording
For audit and review purposes, the PA System provides a log of all of its broadcast announcements. This includes details of the individual stages of each message announcement, and includes error reports if a message cannot be broadcast for any reason. This facility can be used to prove if a specific broadcast was made at a particular location at a particular time, and to give the exact details of the message that was broadcast.
In addition, the system can provide SIP telephony calls of each PA broadcast to a third-party voice recording system. Thus, the exact words spoken in any live announcement can also be available for audit or other review purposes. There is also an optional built-in voice recording facility.
