ANS04-ES sample and hold ambient noise sensor
The ANS04-ES is a sample and hold ambient noise microphone used in conjunction with ASL's range of audio routers.
This ensures the output gain is automatically adjusted to be at a predefined level above the ambient, guaranteeing intelligibility of announcements, yet at a comfortable level.
The ANS sensor detects ambient noise using its built-in microphone. The signal is weighted with a speech-band response for the best system performance, and is then translated to a value of measured ambient noise in dBA.
As an alternative to the Sample and Hold ASL offers the DANS01 which is a dynamic version.
