EN 54-16 Voice alarm control and indicating equipment (VACIE)
Voice Alarm Systems provide an audible fire alarm signal within a building or public area, providing control of the alarm signal(s) and the fire alarm voice message(s). Independent Certification of ASL’s VACIE to EN 54-16 ensures that ASL’s Voice Alarm products meet the mandatory functions required of all VACIE and also meet the stated optional functions (with requirements) which ASL products can provide, depending on system design which should be undertaken using ASL’s Guidelines and Recommendations in order to ensure compliance to EN54. VACIE may be a separate unit or physically combined with the fire detection and fire alarm control and indicating equipment.
