Here at ASL we are committed to keeping people safe, entertained, and making a difference. Our strong sense of identification with clients, acousticians and audio engineers means that we are constantly adapting. To this end, we adopt a progressive approach to technology, and continue to invest heavily in our research and development programs.
Our 30-year experience means we have a wide range of solutions and expertise that span across a range of sectors, offering systems that not only protect but engage and perform.
We aim to share the experience we acquire across the whole organisation, which now extends around the globe. Our experienced, international staff bring exceptional local knowledge of specific protocols, standards and regulations coupled with a deep understanding of cultural issues. But we know that things change, which is why we are constantly striving to learn, adapt and improve.
Founded in 1989 as an electronic design consultancy, we began our journey in the voice alarm market in 1999 with the design and supply of technology-leading evacuation systems for London Underground. We subsequently established ourselves as a key supplier to the transport industry. Built on this foundation, we now design and manufacture products for customers worldwide, and cater for both emergency and non-emergency audio applications.
With over 30 years experience, we have established sophisticated design techniques, meticulous manufacturing processes, stringent testing programs, and world-class products and solutions. Our professional audio and control systems save lives, ease operation, and reduce risk and total cost of ownership throughout the entire product lifecycle.
As a leading manufacturer of audio hardware for the most demanding environments, we understand the importance of product quality, reliability, and performance. Our exemplary track record is built upon quality and durability. We provide dependable products and solutions to some of the largest systems integrators around the world, and have systems in the field that are still operational after 20+ years of continuous use.
Our headquarters and manufacturing facility is located in the UK, with a continually expanding global support network, and local offices. Customers worldwide have confidence in the quality and value of our products and solutions, as well as in our ability to deliver and support systems through their design, installation, commissioning, and operation.
In November 1987, a devastating fire took hold at King’s Cross Underground Station. In response to the tragedy, London Underground Ltd (LUL) ensured that installation of voice alarm across all 130+ stations was given high priority.
